The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrams throws a hook but Roberts blocks it.
Abrams shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Roberts defends it nicely.
Abrams moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Abrams smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Ramses Roberts has been cut.
A slow jab from Abrams misses its intended target.
Abrams loads up on a big right hand but Roberts slips the punch.
Abrams bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Roberts's head backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A chopping leg kick lands by Roberts.
Abrams looks to land a body kick but Roberts moved away.
Abrams wants to clinch up but Roberts keeps it at a distance.
Roberts lands with a kick to the ribs.
Abrams fails with an attempt to clinch.
Abrams shoots in but Roberts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Abrams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roberts.
Abrams moves to clinch but Roberts breaks away
and Roberts counters with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Roberts uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Abrams.
Abrams closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Abrams misses with a left hand
and Roberts counters with an inside leg kick.
Roberts bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Abrams's head.
Roberts throws a half hearted mid kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Roberts blocks the leg kick.
Roberts drops Abrams with a beautiful combination! Abrams stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Roberts is looking for the KO!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Roberts lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Abrams can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Roberts and Abrams drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Roberts.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ramses Roberts!
Ramses Roberts was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
