PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Brona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hunt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Smells Like Teen Spirit. DJ Brona told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brona shoots for a takedown but Hunt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hunt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brona's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Brona working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hunt.
Brona looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunt is one step ahead there.
Hunt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Brona has control of Hunt's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hunt regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brona connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Brona throws some wild stikes that Hunt manages to avoid easily.
