Davis comes to the cage accompanied by House of Pain - Jump Around. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a leg kick but Rodrigues sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Rodrigues throws a hook but Davis blocks it.
Davis dodges the punch combination from Rodrigues.
A clash of legs there as Davis blocks the low kick.
Davis will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Rodrigues misses with a two punch combination.

Davis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Davis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Davis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rodrigues knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rodrigues is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davis is working to tighten is grip on Rodrigues's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rodrigues has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Davis is really squeezing tight and eventually Rodrigues passes out! Davis breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A relieved looking Marcus Davis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
