Lesnar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lesnar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Raffinksi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lesnar cracks Raffinksi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raffinksi lands a nice shot that snaps Lesnar's head back.
Raffinksi cracks Lesnar on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Lesnar falls backwards against the cage. Raffinksi follows up with more strikes that drop Lesnar to his knees. Raffinksi keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Lesnar! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Igor Raffinksi!
Igor Raffinksi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
