Zaitsef comes to the cage accompanied by Mother Puncher - Mastodon. Frye is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Smash You To Pieces by Mower. Don Frye has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Zaitsef misses with a hook. Frye ducked under it nicely.

Zaitsef shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Frye pinned against the cage. Frye gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Zaitsef counters with a series of strikes that sends Frye to the canvas! Zaitsef follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frye can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zaitsef lands a nice short elbow.
Zaitsef working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Frye seems to have recovered his senses.
Zaitsef loads up with a big shot that hurts Frye! He's pulled Zaitsef in close but Zaitsef has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Frye survive? More strikes from Zaitsef and Frye is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
