The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki avoids the body shot from Barok.
Aoki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Barok manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice defenses there by Aoki.
Barok misses with a head kick.
Barok bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Aoki shoots for a double leg takedown but Barok sprawls well. He's pushed Aoki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Aoki tries to clinch up but Barok circles away and keeps his distance.

Barok gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Aoki is pushing down on Barok's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barok is fighting to maintain full guard but Aoki has managed to sneak the leg through.
Barok is staying active underneath Aoki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Aoki is working for a submission of some sort.
Aoki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Aoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barok keeps working.

Well, if Aoki is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Aoki is looking for a kimura but Barok is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Aoki to get the leverage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aoki missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Aoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barok keeps working.
Aoki perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Aoki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barok doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aoki.
Aoki is trying to control the action in half guard but Barok is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Aoki thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Aoki has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Barok defend it? Aoki steps over the head and cranks it - Barok is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Aoki!
