Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oskar Kokoshka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spar Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kokoshka's entrance music is Heaven. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oskar Kokoshka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bjj!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bjj looks for a takedown but Kokoshka sprawls well.
Kokoshka scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kokoshka lands a two punch combo.
Kokoshka throws a series of punches but Bjj moves out of range.
Kokoshka swinging wildly here.
Bjj looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kokoshka uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bjj has time to react.
Kokoshka misses with a double jab.
Kokoshka feints a jab promting Bjj to slip. Kokoshka then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bjj slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Bjj shoots in for a takedown but Kokoshka shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Oskar Kokoshka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spar Bjj.
Kokoshka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kokoshka tries to bum rush Bjj with a series of wild strikes but Bjj uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oskar Kokoshka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bjj takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bjj shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kokoshka sprawls well. Kokoshka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bjj gets slowly back to his feet.
Kokoshka ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Kokoshka jabs Bjj right on the nose. Bjj blinks but takes it well.
Kokoshka tries to bum rush Bjj with a series of wild strikes but Bjj uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kokoshka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Bjj gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kokoshka counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kokoshka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bjj ducks right into an uppercut from Kokoshka.

Bjj gets the takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kokoshka is looking for a sweep.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bjj is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kokoshka has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bjj is trying to get an arm triangle but Kokoshka is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bjj closes the distance and clinches up with Kokoshka, looking for a takedown. Bjj pushes Kokoshka against the cage but Kokoshka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bjj shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kokoshka as he jumps to the side.
Kokoshka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bjj circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kokoshka lands a nice hook to Bjj's body. Bjj takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kokoshka keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Oskar Kokoshka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spar Bjj.

Bjj shoots in but no luck this time.
Oskar Kokoshka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Kokoshka. Those never looked like landing.

Kokoshka slaps away a takedown attempt from Bjj, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bjj shoots for a double leg takedown but Kokoshka sprawls well. He's pushed Bjj's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Oskar Kokoshka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bjj looking to score a takedown here. Kokoshka is defending well but Bjj drives through and ends up in Kokoshka's guard.

Bjj has gone for a leg lock! Kokoshka slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bjj's guard.
Kokoshka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bjj on the ground.

Bjj escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kokoshka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kokoshka loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kokoshka here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Kokoshka throws a big elbow that misses.
Kokoshka stops Bjj from standing up.

Kokoshka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bjj swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kokoshka postures up in Bjj's guard and throws a big left but Bjj blocks it.

Bjj bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kokoshka's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bjj is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kokoshka controls Bjj momentarily but Bjj frees himself.
Bjj distracts Kokoshka with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kokoshka wants to control but Bjj passes easily into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Spar Bjj will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kokoshka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kokoshka scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Bjj tries for a takedown but Kokoshka circles away easily
and Kokoshka counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kokoshka.
Bjj misses with a takedown attempt - Kokoshka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kokoshka gets caught flat footed, as Bjj shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Oskar Kokoshka.
I think Kokoshka has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
