Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Erik Kellenberger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Kimmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kellenberger comes to the cage accompanied by Reel big fish. Kimmo has chosen Roni Size-Bite The Bullet as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Erik Kellenberger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Kimmo!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimmo misses with the combination.
Kimmo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Kellenberger gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kimmo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kellenberger thinking.
Michael Kimmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kimmo cracks Kellenberger with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kellenberger takes a swing at Kimmo's ribcage but misses.
Kellenberger misses with a looping right.
Kimmo scores with a decent looking hook.
Kellenberger steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kimmo. That one must have hurt.

Kimmo throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kimmo connects with a high kick.
Kimmo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kimmo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kellenberger will feel that in the morning.
Kimmo throws a right hand that Kellenberger ducks under and follows up with a left that Kellenberger also avoids with ease.
Kimmo stalks Kellenberger and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kellenberger's face. Kellenberger staggers backwards, shaken.
Kimmo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kimmo misses with a two punch combination.
Kimmo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kellenberger's hands.
Kimmo throws a nice inside leg kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kellenberger.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kimmo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Michael Kimmo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kimmo has Kellenberger up against the cage in a clinch.
Kimmo lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Kimmo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kellenberger is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kimmo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kellenberger.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kellenberger moves out of range of the body kick from Kimmo.
Kellenberger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kimmo manages to avoid it.
Kimmo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kellenberger thows a body shot but no joy.

Kellenberger is trying to break the clinch but Kimmo is controlling him.

Kellenberger will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kimmo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A jab lands there for Kellenberger.
Kimmo tries to bum rush Kellenberger with a series of wild strikes but Kellenberger uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kellenberger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kimmo's waist but Kimmo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kellenberger off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kimmo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nice straight punches there by Kellenberger. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kellenberger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kimmo, as that shot connected.
Kimmo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kellenberger is looking to wear down Kimmo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Kellenberger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kimmo clinches.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kimmo obliges.

Kellenberger pulls guard successfully.
Kimmo forces his way into half guard.
Kimmo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kellenberger knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kimmo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kellenberger's head.
Kellenberger tries to roll over but Kimmo keeps him under control.

Kellenberger is refusing to be controlled, as Kimmo sits in half guard.
Kimmo wants to free his trapped foot but Kellenberger is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Still in half guard, Kimmo seems content to control.
Kimmo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kellenberger's head.
Kimmo is looking to take a break and control but Kellenberger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Kimmo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kellenberger throws a body punch but Kimmo moves out of range.
Kellenberger walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kimmo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Kimmo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Michael Kimmo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kellenberger takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Kimmo looks to land a combination but Kellenberger avoids it well.
Kellenberger throws a wild body kick that Kimmo sees coming a mile off.
Kimmo throws a low kick but Kellenberger moves out of range easily.
Kimmo lands a glancing blow to the side of Kellenberger's head.
Kellenberger avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A big left from Kellenberger misses.
Kimmo scores with a nice right hand.
Kellenberger shoots in but no luck this time.
Kimmo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kellenberger has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kimmo moves in looking to clinch but Kellenberger pushes him off.

Kellenberger is rocked!
Kellenberger shoots in looking for a takedown. Kimmo tries to sprawl out of it but Kellenberger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kimmo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oh Kellenberger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Kellenberger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kimmo lands a really nice looking cross but Kellenberger seems unphased.

Kellenberger shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kimmo misses with a body kick.
Kimmo throws a one two combo.
No joy there for Kellenberger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kimmo tries to clinch but Kellenberger is having none of it.
Kimmo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kellenberger. Kellenberger circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kimmo moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kimmo closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kimmo circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kellenberger drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kimmo follows Kellenberger to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Kimmo!
