Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeroen Blauwoog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jeroen Blauwoog has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jeroen Blauwoog seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeroen Blauwoog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ethan Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blauwoog missing with a left hand there. Sackett was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Sackett fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blauwoog sprawls well initially but Sackett persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Sackett wants to pass the guard but Blauwoog is keeping the position.
Blauwoog looking for a sweep. Not yet Blauwoog, not yet.
Blauwoog will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sackett stands up over Blauwoog, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Ethan Sackett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sackett motions for Blauwoog to come forward. Sackett throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Blauwoog misses with a few strikes there.
Sackett throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Sackett scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Blauwoog connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blauwoog tries to close the distance and clinch but Sackett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sackett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice defenses there by Blauwoog.
Sackett is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Blauwoog throws a right hand that Sackett ducks under and follows up with a left that Sackett also avoids with ease.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sackett fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blauwoog sprawls well initially but Sackett persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sackett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Blauwoog is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sackett looks to land a left hand but Blauwoog moved out of range nicely.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Blauwoog counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sackett checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Sackett throws a looping overhand right but Blauwoog ducks down to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeroen Blauwoog will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sackett closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blauwoog circles away.
Sackett throws a front kick aimed at Blauwoog's knee but Blauwoog avoids it well.

and Blauwoog counters with a crisp right hand that drops Sackett! Blauwoog lets Sackett back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
