Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matti Wanhanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kev smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wanhanen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Mina olen by Kotiteollisuus. smith has chosen summertime as his entrance music. Matti Wanhanen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
smith blocks a head kick by Wanhanen.
A nice combination there by Wanhanen.
Wanhanen throws a head kick but smith moves out of range.
Wanhanen throws a good cross that connects.
Wanhanen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wanhanen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
smith shoots in and drives through. Wanhanen sprawls well.

smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
smith tries to score with some ground and pound. Wanhanen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

smith tries for a kimura but Wanhanen is defending well.
Wanhanen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked smith off and has taken his back!

Wanhanen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. smith defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
smith is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wanhanen.

Wanhanen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

smith is sitting in close to Wanhanen's body. Wanhanen has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! smith is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, smith is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Wanhanen.
