The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Texas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Texas tries to land a front kick but Giacomucci steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Giacomucci throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Texas's waist but Texas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Giacomucci off to one side.
Texas throws a wild body kick that Giacomucci sees coming a mile off.
Texas jabs Giacomucci right on the nose. Giacomucci blinks but takes it well.
Giacomucci tries to clinch up.
Giuseppe Giacomucci seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Texas. No joy for Giacomucci on that attempt.

Giacomucci fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Alexis Texas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giuseppe Giacomucci.
Texas thuds his shin into the meat of Giacomucci's side.

Giacomucci walks forward, straight into a front kick from Texas.
Giacomucci tries to close the distance and clinch up but Texas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Texas lands a nice looking kick to the body. Giacomucci takes a step back to recover.

Giacomucci walks into a stiff left hand from Texas.

It looks like Giuseppe Giacomucci has been cut.
Texas thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Giacomucci if he has to take too many more of those.
Texas scores with a kick to the body.
Texas throws a head kick but Giacomucci moves out of range.

Giacomucci takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Giacomucci steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Texas. That one must have hurt.

Giacomucci walks forward, straight into a front kick from Texas.
The fighters circle momentarily. Texas darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Texas lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Giacomucci moves out of range of the body kick from Texas.
Texas works Giacomucci's body with a nice hook.
Nice body punch from Texas.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Texas.
Texas lands a slapping body shot.
Texas sizes up Giacomucci with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Giacomucci is defended easily by Texas.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Giacomucci crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Texas - the referee stops the clock and Giacomucci gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Texas. Giacomucci manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Texas cracks Giacomucci with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Texas has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Giacomucci to stand back up!

Giacomucci is rocked!
Texas is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Texas lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Giacomucci crumples to the floor! Texas milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
