These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninja Turtle fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kawai takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Some wild striking there from Kawai.
Kawai needs to keep his hands up - Ninja Turtle had a free shot at his head there.
Kawai tries to bum rush Ninja Turtle with a series of wild strikes but Ninja Turtle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kawai fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ninja Turtle on the side of the head.
Kawai misses with a double jab
and Kawai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ninja Turtle throws out a powerful jab.
Kawai throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Ninja Turtle has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kawai wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ninja Turtle has him pressed against the cage.
Kawai's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A frustrated look appears on Kawai's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Ninja Turtle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kawai backwards.
Kawai takes a shot to the head.

Kawai is rocked!
Ninja Turtle lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Oh Kawai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kawai tries to break free but Ninja Turtle pushes him back against the cage.
Ninja Turtle creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Kawai with a big uppercut! Kawai tries to clinch up but Ninja Turtle pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Kawai to the mat! Kawai covers up and Ninja Turtle unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mike Ninja Turtle!
During a confident post fight interview, Mike Ninja Turtle thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
