With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Curtis!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis misses with a straight right.

and Curtis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Curtis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Curtis.
Barris is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Curtis is defending well.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barris is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Curtis is surviving well by controlling Barris's body position as best he can.

Barris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Curtis is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Barris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Curtis tries to reverse the position but Barris maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barris is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Curtis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Curtis shrugs it off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee warns Curtis that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Barris moves to back control.
