Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Franz Ritter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, john Him!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritter scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like john Him has been cut.
Him fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ritter.
Ritter lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Him is rocked!
Ritter steps into range and cracks Him with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Him flops backwards and Ritter dives into his guard looking to finish!
Him is still in real trouble! Can Ritter finish him?
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Him has eaten all the pies!
Ritter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Him looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Him looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Him!
Ritter is not content to let Him control the position.
Him seems to have recovered his senses.
Ritter looks to move to half guard but instead Him has passed into mount! Damn!
Ritter working to try and regain half guard.
Ritter is in a horrible position here. Him smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Him tries to control but Ritter wriggling away.
Ritter can't escape the position.
Him putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Him looking to control but Ritter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ritter looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Ritter controlling his opponent's hands, preventing the submission attempt.

Ritter is really stuck here.
Ritter wants to control his opponent's hands but Him gets his hands free.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ritter manages to reverse the position and now he's in Him's guard. Nice work there by Ritter.
Him is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ritter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ritter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Ritter throwing strikes but missing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A right-left combo lands from Ritter.
Him lands a high kick!

and Ritter counters with a left and a right that hurts Him! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Ritter jumps into full mount!
That has opened up john Him's cut even more.
Him can't escape the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ritter lands a big elbow.
Him really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Him looks gassed!
BOOM! Ritter connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Him wants to hold on but Ritter pushes him away.
Ritter working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Ritter breaks from Him's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ritter lands a heavy elbow.
Him keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Him is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ritter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Him looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on john Him's cut.
That's time! Ritter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ritter is looking to slow Him down with leg kicks.
Him takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Him fails to land the takedown.
Ritter cracks Him with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Him looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ritter finish him?
Ritter thuds a left hand into Him's body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ritter.
Franz Ritter is winning the standup battle so far.
Ritter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Him on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ritter lands a nice shot to the body.
Ritter with a jab.
The cut above john Him's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ritter throws a sloppy head kick and Him moves out of range easily.
Him moves away from the strike by Ritter.
Ritter throws a hook to the side of Him's head but Him sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Him.
Him tries to advance to mount but Ritter denies him.
Him tries to stand but Ritter is controlling his head.
Him advances nicely into full mount.
Ritter is desperately trying to improve his position but Him has a good base and remains in mount.
Ritter tries to improve his position but instead Him has taken his back!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ritter rolls, trying to escape but Him keeps control of the position.
Ritter is keeping busy.
Him working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Him has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ritter's body.
Him looking to hold on to the position here but Ritter rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Him trying to control but Ritter is working from the bottom.
Ritter has a closed guard, preventing Him from standing up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Ritter throws a good cross that connects.

Him fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ritter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Ritter connects with a stiff jab that staggers Him - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
