Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and White Sons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yuri Boyka!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, White Sons!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyka gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sons to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sons postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sons throws a big elbow that misses.
Sons working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sons wants to pass the guard but Boyka is keeping the position.
Boyka working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sons.
Sons stands up over Boyka, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sons makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sons postures up in Boyka's guard and throws a big left but Boyka blocks it.

Boyka is looking for a triangle but Sons pushes his legs off easily.
Boyka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sons is one step ahead there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boyka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sons connects with a couple of short punches.
Sons is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sons throws a strike but Boyka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Boyka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sons works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sons looking for a guillotine here but Boyka defends easily.

Sons has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boyka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Boyka passes Sons's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sons is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boyka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boyka's back!
Boyka is trapped and Sons is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boyka turns into Sons and is now in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sons thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Sons looking for a guillotine here but Boyka defends easily.
Sons has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Boyka thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sons throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Boyka drops back looking for a leg! Sons is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sons manages to kick Boyka off! Boyka jumps back into Sons's guard.
Boyka with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sons keeping moving, preventing Boyka from controlling successfully.

Boyka avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boyka pushes down on Sons's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Boyka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sons's head.
Well, if Boyka is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Boyka wants to take a breather but Sons is having none of it.
Boyka thows a huge punch but Sons dodges it nicely.
Sons punching from the bottom.
Sons gets back to full guard.
Boyka pushing down on Sons's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boyka winds up and cracks Sons with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Boyka moves nicely into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boyka is putting a hurting on Sons here, landing some big shots from side control.
Sons striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Sons throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Sons is looking for a sweep.
Sons misses with a strike from the bottom.
Boyka lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sons down.
Sons tries to improve position but can't.
Sons is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sons tries to buck Boyka off but Boyka is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

White Sons dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boyka cracks Sons with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Sons misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sons shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boyka sprawls well. Boyka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sons gets slowly back to his feet.
Sons takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sons fails with the takedown
and Boyka counters with a two punch combo.

Sons is rocked!
Yuri Boyka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of White Sons.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head kick misses from Boyka.
Sons is still on wobbly legs! Can Boyka finish him?
Boyka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sons fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boyka avoids it really well and circles away.
Boyka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sons moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sons is breathing heavily.
Boyka throws a head kick but Sons moves out of range.
Sons seems to have recovered his senses.
Nice takedown defense from Boyka. No joy for Sons on that attempt.
Sons seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Boyka shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Sons is backing up but Boyka catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Sons covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Boyka Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuri Boyka!
