The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laputa drops his hands momentarily and Colvin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Colvin blocks a head kick by Laputa.
Laputa throws a series of strikes that have Colvin backpedaling.

It looks like Bunny Colvin has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No joy there for Colvin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Colvin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Laputa looks to score with a jab to the body but Colvin is just out of range.

Laputa lands a leg kick that knocks Colvin off balance momentarily.

and Laputa counters with a good low kick that Colvin was not able to check.
A chopping leg kick lands by Laputa.
Colvin cracks Laputa with a right hand to the side of the head.
A telegraphed right hand from Colvin misses the target.
Laputa scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Colvin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Colvin needs to keep his hands up - Laputa had a free shot at his head there.

Laputa takes the fight into the clinch.

Colvin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Laputa has him pressed against the cage.

Laputa will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Colvin up against the cage.
