Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kisuke Urahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Olicky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kisuke Urahara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kisuke Urahara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Olicky!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olicky shoots in looking for a takedown. Urahara tries to sprawl out of it but Olicky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Urahara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Olicky dodges the punch combination from Urahara.

Olicky tries to keep at a distance but Urahara has taken the fight into the clinch.
Olicky has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Urahara avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Olicky pulls Urahara into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Olicky looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Olicky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Olicky is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Urahara defends well.
Urahara controlling from the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Urahara pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Olicky is keeping the position for now.

Urahara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Olicky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Urahara has managed to get both his arms back between Olicky's legs - danger averted.
Urahara controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kisuke Urahara just wasn't active enough.
Olicky dodges the punch combination from Urahara.
Kisuke Urahara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Urahara throws a nice inside leg kick.
Good shot there by Urahara.


It looks like Mario Olicky has been cut.
Crunch! Urahara slams his shin into Olicky's torso.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A bone on bone clash there as Olicky blocks the leg kick.
Kisuke Urahara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Olicky walks into a left hand.
Urahara throws a front kick that sends Olicky stumbling back into the cage.
Urahara paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Olicky fails with a takedown attempt.
Kisuke Urahara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Olicky.
Urahara dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Olicky. That did some damage!
Olicky looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Urahara lands a really nice looking cross but Olicky seems unphased.
Olicky walks into a stiff left hand from Urahara.
Urahara connects with a crisp jab.
Olicky takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The fight stays on the outside here - Urahara looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Urahara lands a nice leg kick that just misses Olicky's sensitive parts.
No joy there for Urahara, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Urahara connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Olicky's hands.

Urahara lands a big head kick that sends Olicky tumbling to the mat! Urahara takes a step backwards and waves Olicky back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Olicky is rocked!


That has opened up Mario Olicky's cut even more.
Olicky finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Urahara's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Olicky falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kisuke Urahara!
An out of breath Kisuke Urahara thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
