The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones pushes Rodrigues up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Leandro Rodrigues has been cut.

Rodrigues is trying to maintain a safe position but Jones gets an underhook and turns Rodrigues into the cage.

Jones makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Rodrigues takes an elbow to the forehead.
Jones lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rodrigues or not.

Rodrigues has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Rodrigues gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Rodrigues stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Rodrigues is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Jones pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Leandro Rodrigues's cut is getting worse.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Rodrigues has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rodrigues manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
