PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Fonseca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fonseca comes into the arena with Guns n' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Bundy has chosen Bad to The Bone as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jackson Fonseca has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Fonseca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Al Bundy!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundy moves out of range as Fonseca strikes.

Bundy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fonseca was covering up waiting for the punch and Bundy finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bundy throws a big right hand that misses.
Bundy wants to control from the top but Fonseca keeps moving.
Bundy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Bundy tries to free his leg and advance position but Fonseca is retaining full guard.

Bundy is looking to work some ground and pound but Fonseca has wrist control.
Bundy throwing strikes but missing.
Bundy wants to control from the top but Fonseca keeps moving.
Bundy is pushing down on Fonseca's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fonseca is fighting to maintain full guard but Bundy has managed to sneak the leg through.
Fonseca is trying to maintain the position but Bundy is very close to passing his half guard.
Bundy missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Bundy passes the guard and advances to mount!
Fonseca is in a horrible position here. Bundy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Bundy lands a nice shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bundy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Fonseca because Bundy loaded up on that one.
Bundy avoids the attempt from Fonseca to control.
A nice elbow there by Bundy.
Bundy in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bundy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fonseca can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Fonseca is rocked!

Bundy has hold of Fonseca's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fonseca manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bundy lands with some strikes.
Bundy scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Oh Fonseca is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fonseca manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Fonseca, under a barage of strikes from Bundy.
Fonseca seems to have got his legs back now.
Bundy trying to control from half guard but Fonseca is working away.
Bundy thows a huge punch but Fonseca dodges it nicely.
Bundy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fonseca's head.

Bundy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fonseca is staying active underneath Bundy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fonseca makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fonseca.
Bundy lands a couple of digs.
Fonseca lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bundy!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bundy is desperately trying to improve his position but Fonseca has a good base and remains in mount.
Bundy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Al Bundy dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


A big right from Bundy misses.

Fonseca closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fonseca doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bundy blocks a body shot from Fonseca.

Fonseca lands a shoulder strike.
Fonseca gets underhooks to prevent Bundy's takedown attempt.
Fonseca prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bundy gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Fonseca regains guard.
Bundy pushing down on Fonseca's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Fonseca actively working from the bottom here.
Fonseca is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bundy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fonseca keeps working.

Fonseca wants to control but Bundy passes into side.
Sloppy strikes there by Bundy.
Bundy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Bundy throws a strike aimed at the side of Fonseca's head but Fonseca avoids it well.
Bundy looks up at the clock and then as Fonseca takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bundy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fonseca is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bundy is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Al Bundy has got the better of the ground game so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fonseca tries to hold on but Bundy pushes him away.

Bundy postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Fonseca out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Bundy goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Al Bundy!
A relieved looking Al Bundy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
