Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felix Cardosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kabuto Wakizashi!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wakizashi looks to land a right hand but Cardosa moved out of range.
A slow jab from Wakizashi misses its intended target.
Cardosa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wakizashi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cardosa throws a leg kick
and Wakizashi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cardosa walks forward, straight into a front kick from Wakizashi.
Wakizashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wakizashi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cardosa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wakizashi blocks a leg kick.
Cardosa steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wakizashi. That one must have hurt.
Wakizashi throws a lazy uppercut
and Cardosa counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cardosa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Kabuto Wakizashi has been cut.
Cardosa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cardosa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wakizashi lands a jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wakizashi. That's going to slow Cardosa down.
Wakizashi scores with a nice right hand.
Wakizashi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Wakizashi cracks the inside of Cardosa's front leg.
Cardosa moves out of range as Wakizashi throws a body kick.
Wakizashi lands a leg kick that knocks Cardosa off balance momentarily.
Cardosa throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Wakizashi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wakizashi throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Cardosa's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Wakizashi dives in looking to finish as Cardosa flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wakizashi's strikes! Wakizashi is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Cardosa's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Cardosa was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kabuto Wakizashi!
A relieved looking Kabuto Wakizashi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
