Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uriel Amok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amok has chosen Devils as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uriel Amok!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burns throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Amok tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Burns is in Amok's guard.
Burns throws a big elbow that misses.

Burns drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Burns jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Burns wants to pass the guard but Amok is keeping the position.
Amok keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
Burns stands and throws Amok's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Amok dodges the ground and pound from Burns.
Amok is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Burns tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Burns has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Burns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Amok is pressing down on Burns's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Amok is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Burns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Amok is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burns is aware though and is defending well.
Amok is trying to control the position but Burns postures up.
Burns postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Amok looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice defenses there by Burns.
Burns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Burns uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Amok.
Burns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Amok.
Burns connects with a single shot there.
Burns lands a really nice looking cross but Amok seems unphased.

Amok is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Burns.

It looks like Uriel Amok has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Uriel Amok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Burns cracks Amok with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Burns takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Burns.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Uriel Amok will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Amok throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Burns sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Amok throws a shot from downtown. Burns moves away and avoids it.
Burns swings for the body but Amok moves out of range.
Burns stuffs the takedown attempt from Amok. Amok gets slowly back to his feet.
Burns changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Amok tries to avoid it but Burns manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Amok to the ground. Amok escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Amok on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Amok looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burns is fending him off so far but Amok persists. Nope, Burns circles away and we're back to standing.
Amok fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Amok attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Amok shoots in but Burns avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carl Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uriel Amok.

The fighters circling - Amok throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Carl Burns is winning the standup battle so far.
Burns looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Amok misses with a body shot.
Burns avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Amok shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Amok was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Burns wants to hold on but Amok pushes him away.
Amok scoring with strikes but Burns is staying in there.
Burns is wriggling around trying to escape.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Amok. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Amok! Burns is hurt baaadly! Amok is firing away with more strikes - Burns is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
