The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hendricks scores a takedown into full mount!

Hendricks lands a big shot there that rocks Da Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hendricks in particular looking to stall.

Hendricks drops back, looking for a kneebar! Da Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Da Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Da Silva!

Da Silva thows a huge punch but Hendricks dodges it nicely.

Hendricks tries to get to full guard but Da Silva has control of the leg.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hendricks loads up on a big right hand but Da Silva slips the punch.

Hendricks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hendricks lands in his opponent's guard.
Hendricks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Da Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hendricks distracts Da Silva with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Da Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Da Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Da Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Da Silva wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Da Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hendricks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hendricks's back!
Chris Hendricks has got the better of the ground game so far.
I really don't envy Hendricks right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Da Silva looking to break Hendricks's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hendricks remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Da Silva will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Hendricks wants to control his opponent's hands but Da Silva gets his hands free.

Hendricks tries to roll but Da Silva sticks to his back.
Hendricks tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Hendricks tries to improve his position but Da Silva has taken his back! Da Silva has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Hendricks tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Da Silva pushes Hendricks away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
