Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ik Lik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ik Lik!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Austin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lik looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Austin tries to pull guard but Lik holds him up against the cage and eventually Austin drops back down to his feet.

Lik breaks the clinch.
Lik wants to clinch up but Austin keeps it at a distance.
Lik leaves Austin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Austin clinches with his opponent.
Austin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Lik keeps control of Austin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Austin looking to stall.
Austin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Austin wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Austin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lik utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Lik breaks from the clinch.
Austin misses with a takedown attempt - Lik sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Austin counters by clinching up.
Austin wants to take the fight to the mat but Lik manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lik tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Austin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Austin seems keen to control Lik's posture.
Austin looking for a sweep. Not yet Austin, not yet.
Austin looking to control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Austin is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Austin scoring with some ground and pound.
Austin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Austin prevents Lik from getting back to his feet.
Lik is looking to stand back up but Austin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lik.
Austin passes to side control.

Austin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lik keeps working.
Austin in side control lands a decent elbow.
Austin staying calm.
Austin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lik for as long as he can get away with.

Austin stands up.

Lik stuffs the takedown attempt from Austin. Austin gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Lik as Austin shoots in.
Lik tries to clinch up
and Lik takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Austin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Austin is looking to take this one to the mat.
Lik taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Lik's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lik wants to clinch up but Austin keeps it at a distance.

Austin shoots in looking for a takedown. Lik tries to sprawl out of it but Austin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Austin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lik sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Austin somewhat.

Austin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lik sprawls well. Lik wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Austin gets slowly back to his feet.

Lik tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Austin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Steve Austin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lik tries to clinch up but Austin circles away and keeps his distance.

Austin closes the distance and clinches up with Lik, looking for a takedown. Austin pushes Lik against the cage but Lik circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lik comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Austin is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Austin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lik circles away quickly and effectively.

Lik moves in looking to clinch but Austin pushes him off.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Austin.

Lik has closed the distance and engaged Austin in a clinch.

Austin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Lik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Austin shoots in but Lik avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lik tries to clinch but Austin moves out of range.

Lik breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Austin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lik tries to avoid it but Austin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lik to the ground. Lik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Austin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

ik Lik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Horrible takedown by Lik or perhaps it was just good defense by Austin which made him look bad.
Austin shoots in for a double leg but Lik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Austin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lik avoids it really well and circles away.
Austin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Austin shoots in looking for a takedown but Lik manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Austin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lik keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Austin's efforts to push away.

Lik makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Austin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lik is defending well.
Lik lands a nice knee to the body.

Lik crunches a lovely knee into Austin's ribcage.

Austin gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Austin stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Lik to get to his feet.
Lik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Lik's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Austin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lik.

Austin shoots for a takedown but Lik saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Austin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lik tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Austin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

I would just about give that final round to ik Lik.
