Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpha Male (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Male is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by One 24. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Conway crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Male - the referee stops the clock and Conway gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Male. Conway manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Conway might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Male lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Male in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Conway shoots in looking for a takedown. Male tries to sprawl out of it but Conway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Male manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Conway changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Male tries to avoid it but Conway manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Male to the ground. Male escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
