Cleaver escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vlad gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cleaver wants to sweep here but Vlad controlling him for the moment.

It looks like Randall Cleaver has been cut.

Cleaver makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters circling - Cleaver throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cleaver lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vlad circles away quickly and effectively.
Cleaver misses with a series of wild punches.

and Vlad decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cleaver's guard.

Vlad drops back looking for a leg! Cleaver is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cleaver manages to kick Vlad off! Vlad jumps back into Cleaver's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vlad postures up in Cleaver's guard and throws a big left but Cleaver blocks it.

Cleaver uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Cleaver swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Vlad feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Vlad is in close to Cleaver's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Vlad seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cleaver does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cleaver tries to kick Vlad off but Vlad keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Cleaver has hold of Vlad's hands but Vlad slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

That has opened up Randall Cleaver's cut even more.
Cleaver wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vlad in particular looking to stall.
Vlad lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Randall Cleaver's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Randall Cleaver's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
