Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Fartardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Fartardo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luiz Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Fartardo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fartardo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walker circles away.
Walker shoots in for a double leg but Fartardo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Walker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fartardo pinned against the cage. Fartardo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Walker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fartardo!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fartardo tries to hold on but Walker pushes him away.

Walker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fartardo on the ground.

A close round but Jacob Fartardo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fartardo wants to control but Walker is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fartardo is in trouble now - Walker has advanced to mount!

Fartardo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Walker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jacob Fartardo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Walker stands up from mount. Strange move.

Walker closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fartardo quickly recovers to half guard.

Walker escapes and gets back to his feet.
Fartardo takes one to the chin there.

Walker manages to pull guard.
Fartardo wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fartardo is controlling him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Walker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Walker shoots in for a takedown but Fartardo shows good takedown defense.
Walker throws out a powerful jab.
Fartardo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Fartardo moves into the clinch.
Walker misses with a body punch.
Fartardo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Walker pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Walker wants to get up but he can't break Fartardo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Walker trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fartardo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Fartardo's legs - danger averted.

Fartardo wriggles free and stands up.

Walker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fartardo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fartardo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fartardo wants to stand but Walker is controlling the position.
Fartardo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walker controls the pace.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fartardo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Luiz Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fartardo in his tracks.

Nice shot lands for Walker.
Fartardo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nice body punch from Walker.
Left hook, right uppercut from Walker.
Walker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fartardo's hands.
Fartardo takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Walker works over Fartardo's head and body with a nice combination.

Walker shoots in and bounces Fartardo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fartardo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Fartardo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Fartardo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fartardo looking for subs off his back but Walker has passed one foot through into half guard.

Luiz Walker showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Walker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
