Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George St Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pierre has managed to clinch.
Ding crunches a lovely knee into St Pierre's ribcage.

Ding gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Ding sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ding will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ding with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Ding decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Ding drives through and clinches with St Pierre against the cage.

Ding breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ding closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ding lands in his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if St Pierre can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ding chips away with some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ding throwing strikes from guard but St Pierre blocks nicely.
St Pierre wants to stand and escape but Ding is having none of it.
Ding is pushing down on St Pierre's leg trying to pass to half guard. St Pierre is fighting to maintain full guard but Ding has managed to sneak the leg through.

Ding is trying to work for a kimura but St Pierre is defending well.
St Pierre is trying to escape back to his feet but Ding uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Ding stands up and beckons St Pierre to his feet.
Dick Ding seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ding looking to score a takedown here. St Pierre is defending well but Ding drives through and ends up in St Pierre's guard.

Ding gets to his feet. St Pierre looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

St Pierre pushes Ding up against the cage in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
St Pierre is trying to maintain a safe position but Ding gets an underhook and turns St Pierre into the cage.

Ding's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ding shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches St Pierre napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ding passes to full mount! That's big trouble for St Pierre!
Ding controlling the pace for now.
Ding lands with some vicious ground and pound - can St Pierre hang on?

Ding working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
St Pierre tries to hold on but Ding pushes him away.

St Pierre has given up his back.

Ding is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. St Pierre has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Ding has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! St Pierre taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Ding doesn't care though - he's delighted!
