PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donatien Alphonse Francois de Sade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quentin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rob Zombie - What kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donatien Alphonse Francois de Sade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quentin Cane!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from de Sade misses.
Cane shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. de Sade defends it nicely.

Cane closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cane sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but de Sade is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Cane swings around for an armbar but de Sade sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cane's guard.

Cane shoots in for a double leg but de Sade sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cane shoots in looking for a takedown. de Sade tries to sprawl out of it but Cane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. de Sade manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cane feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits de Sades jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Cane might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Cane is rocked!
Cane walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Cane limp body while de Sade jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Donatien Alphonse Francois de Sade!
