Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diablo Mephisto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Diablo Mephisto!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan throws a series of punches but Mephisto moves out of range.
Chan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mephisto, pushing him back against the cage.
Chan blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Mephisto has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Chan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mephisto gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Chan stalling against the cage.
Chan manages to break the clinch.
Chan lands a nice hook to Mephisto's body. Mephisto takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Mephisto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chan clinches up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Mephisto's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Chan looking for a takedown.
Chan tries to pull guard but Mephisto won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephen Chan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mephisto gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Mephisto wants to break the clinch but can't.

Chan pulls guard successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mephisto wants to get up but he can't break Chan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Chan wants to stand but Mephisto is controlling the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Stephen Chan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Chan instigates a clinch.
Chan tries for a takedown but Mephisto manages to get underhooks.
Chan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mephisto smiles and moves away.
Chan works over Mephisto's head and body with a nice combination.
Mephisto misses with a wild combination.
Mephisto lands with a nice combination. Chan backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Stephen Chan has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice uppercut there from Chan.
Mephisto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mephisto tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mephisto gets tackled into the cage by Chan. Chan maintains the clinch.
Mephisto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chan is breathing heavily.
Chan scores with a jab to the head.
Chan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Chan is rocked!
Mephisto defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chan.
Chan swats away the attempt to clinch by Mephisto.
Mephisto lands an overhand right.
Oh Chan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mephisto drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Chan's head, knocking him out cold! Mephisto is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diablo Mephisto!
