The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foote lands with a good body shot.
The fighters circling - Foote throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brit slips a straight right by Foote.

Foote instigates a clinch.
Brit prevents a body shot from Foote.
Foote lands a shoulder strike.
Foote is trying to pull guard but Brit has him pressed against the cage.
Foote has Brit pressed against the cage, preventing Brit from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Foote jumps guard but Brit turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Foote wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brit has him pressed against the cage.
Brit is trying to break the clinch but Foote has him pressed against the cage.
Brit has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Foote pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brit's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Foote wants to stand and escape but Brit is having none of it.
Foote avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Foote working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brit.
Foote wants to sweep here but Brit controlling him for the moment.

Brit stands up from Foote's guard - Brit perhaps looking for a knockout.
Brit's corner calls for a 1-2. Brit obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Clint Foote has been cut.
Brit misses with a jab to the body
letting Foote counter with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Foote tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brit swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Foote scores with a jab to the jaw.

It looks like Johnny Brit has been cut.

Brit ducks straight into an uppercut from Foote and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Brit manages to regain guard straight away.
Foote is looking to advance position but Brit has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Brit connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Brit unloads with some shots from mount but Foote bucks and avoids them well.
Foote is in all sorts of trouble here.
Foote is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Brit putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

The cut above Clint Foote's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Clint Foote's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
