The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by And Pound or perhaps it was just good defense by Fighter which made him look bad.

And Pound closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fighter did well to prevent And Pound getting side control.
Fighter taking some punishment here, with And Pound in his half guard.
Fighter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And Pound is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fighter is just riding it out for now. And Pound eventually gives up the hold.
And Pound tries to pass to full mount but Fighter defends it.
And Pound trying to advance position but Fighter counters by regaining guard.
And Pound is in close to Fighter's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fighter is trying to get back to full guard.

And Pound is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
