Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Moscovite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Rogov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rogov's choice of entrance music: Metallica-Memory Remains. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Moscovite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Rogov!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moscovite gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rogov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Rogov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alexander Rogov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rogov enables Moscovite to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rogov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Moscovite working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moscovite wants to control from the top but Rogov keeps moving.

Moscovite throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rogov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Moscovite is in Rogov's guard.

Moscovite has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Moscovite decides to return to a standing position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rogov tries to clinch up but Moscovite circles away and keeps his distance.

and Moscovite counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Moscovite is breathing heavily.
Moscovite working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Moscovite throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rogov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Moscovite decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rogov, up you get!

Moscovite shoots in but Rogov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rogov is looking to clinch but Moscovite is avoiding it.
Rogov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Moscovite.
Moscovite takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Rogov has managed to clinch.
Rogov throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Rogov lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Moscovite is looking for a takedown.

Rogov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Vladimir Moscovite will probably get the nod.

Rogov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Moscovite under the eye.
Moscovite throws a wild hook but Rogov just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Moscovite gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Rogov raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Rogov!
Alexander Rogov tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
