The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn shoots for a takedown but Von Lowe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
PJ Benn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benn throws a sloppy head kick and Von Lowe moves out of range easily.

Benn closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Von Lowe did well to prevent Benn getting side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Von Lowe wants to get back to his feet.
Benn keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Benn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Benn has managed to clinch.
Benn is working for takedown but Von Lowe is calmly controlling the position for now.
Von Lowe works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Benn swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Von Lowe tries to land knees in the clinch but Benn avoids the damage to the body.
Benn wants to take the fight to the mat but Von Lowe manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Markus Von Lowe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of PJ Benn.

Benn has clasped his hands together around Von Lowe's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Benn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Benn decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Von Lowe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
