Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boydy Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Tweed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tweed has chosen physco as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boydy Blue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Tweed!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tweed throws a front kick that sends Blue stumbling back into the cage.
Blue looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Tweed has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tweed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tweed closes the distance and pushes Blue back into the cage.
Blue gets underhooks to prevent Tweed's takedown attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tweed manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Tweed wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Tweed's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Tweed wants to stand and escape but Blue is having none of it.
Tweed wants to sweep but no luck.
Tweed is adopting a defensive guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Tweed hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Tweed tries to free his leg and advance position but Blue is retaining full guard.
Tweed is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that Tweed has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tweed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tweed is pushing down on Blue's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blue is fighting to maintain full guard but Tweed has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tweed perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Tweed wants to work for an arm triangle but Blue is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Blue could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tweed not doing much here.

Tweed stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Blue to get to his feet.
No luck for Tweed with that takedown attempt.

Tweed rushes Blue and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tweed is trying to drag Blue to the mat but Blue just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Boydy Blue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Tweed.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tweed has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Blue uses from the top position.

Tweed is pulling down on Blue's head to control his posture.

Blue drops back looking for a leg! Tweed is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tweed manages to kick Blue off! Blue jumps back into Tweed's guard.

Tweed bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blue's guard.
Tweed controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Tweed is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Tweed decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blue, up you get!
Tweed fails with the takedown.
Tweed shoots for a double leg takedown but Blue sprawls well. He's pushed Tweed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Tweed!

Blue shoots in and drives through. Tweed sprawls well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tweed has Blue up against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tweed's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Tweed dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Horrible takedown by Tweed or perhaps it was just good defense by Blue which made him look bad.
Blue stuffs the takedown attempt from Tweed. Tweed gets slowly back to his feet.
Tweed shoots for a takedown but Blue saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boydy Blue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Tweed.
Blue misses with a takedown attempt - Tweed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice sprawl there from Blue as Tweed shoots in.
Tweed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blue circles away.

Tweed moves into range and clinches up with Blue.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tweed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Blue scores with a takedown into Tweed's guard.

Blue drops back looking for a leg! Tweed is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tweed manages to kick Blue off! Blue jumps back into Tweed's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tweed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blue manages to get himself to full guard.
Tweed looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Blue wants to stand and escape but Tweed is having none of it.
Tweed throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Tweed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Tweed drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Tweed was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Blue tries to keep at a distance but Tweed has taken the fight into the clinch.

Tweed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Blue gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tweed to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Tweed won't allow Blue to get back to his feet.
Tweed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Tweed advances to half guard.
Tweed takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tweed not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Nice strikes from Tweed there.

Blue landing small, sideways elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tweed stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Blue to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Tweed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Tweed goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Boydy Blue has been cut.

Tweed moves into the clinch.
Tweed has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Blue after a bit of a struggle.
Knees to the body from Tweed.
Blue is working for takedown but Tweed is calmly controlling the position for now.

Tweed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tweed moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Boydy Blue is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tweed moves into the clinch successfully.

Tweed ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tweed no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tweed working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blue doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blue manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blue thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tweed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Blue has gone for a leg lock! Tweed slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blue's guard.
Tweed not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Tweed must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Blue looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tweed stops Blue from standing up.

Blue gets tackled into the cage by Tweed. Tweed maintains the clinch.

Tweed gets control of Blue's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tweed will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tweed lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blue!
Tweed controlling the pace for now.
Blue is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Blue tries to hold on but Tweed pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Blue is working to get back to half guard.
Tweed controlling the position easily from mount.
Tweed cracks Blue with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Tweed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Blue squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Boydy Blue has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
John Tweed is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blue wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tweed.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Tweed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tweed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
