PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juan Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dos Santos comes into the arena with Sugar We Going Down blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dos Santos has control of Ferguson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ferguson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Dos Santos is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ferguson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ferguson!

Dos Santos pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ferguson back to the cage. Dos Santos follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Ferguson feints and as Dos Santos raises his hands in defense, Ferguson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dos Santos looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ferguson has picked Dos Santos up and slammed him! Dos Santos can't keep hold of the triangle and Ferguson manages to pass to side control!

Ferguson is looking to take a break and control but Dos Santos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ferguson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dos Santos kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dos Santos has his foot on Ferguson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferguson works his way back into a safe position though.
