The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King avoids the body shot from Martinez.
King checks a leg kick.
Martinez misses with a body kick.
Carlos Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Martinez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Martinez looks to throw the jab but King is out of range.

Martinez throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Martinez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.
King takes a body punch but keeps moving.

King closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Martinez did well to prevent King getting side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Martinez has hold of King's hands but King slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

King content to control rather than advance.
King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Martinez is trying to maintain the position but King is very close to passing his half guard.

Martinez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
Oooooh, big shot lands for King! Martinez is hurt baaadly! King is firing away with more strikes - Martinez is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
