Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Kinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Pushkar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Francis Pushkar enters the cage!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francis Pushkar!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pushkar swats away the attempt to clinch by Kinho.
Kinho takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kinho buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kinho darts in trying to clinch
and Pushkar counters with a straight right hand.
Kinho slips a jab from Pushkar.
Kinho looks to clinch
and Pushkar counters with a left and a right that stings Kinho.
Kinho needs to keep his hands up - Pushkar had a free shot at his head there.
Pushkar throws a shot from downtown. Kinho moves away and avoids it.

Pushkar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pushkar lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Francis Pushkar wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kinho tries to close the distance and clinch but Pushkar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kinho moves in looking to clinch but Pushkar pushes him off.

Pushkar throws a series of punches but Kinho avoids them all with ease.

so Pushkar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Pushkar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kinho is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kinho has escaped and now he's on top!

Pushkar is looking to control Kinho's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pushkar avoid being mounted?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Pushkar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Pushkar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kinho's guard now.
Pushkar postures up in Kinho's guard and throws a big left but Kinho blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pushkar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kinho looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kinho looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kinho!
Pushkar wants to control but Kinho postures up.
Pushkar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pushkar tries to buck Kinho off but Kinho is having none of it.
Pushkar parries the strikes from Kinho easily there. Kinho is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pushkar to escape.

Pushkar is looking to regain half guard here but Kinho keeps moving and retains side control.
Pushkar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kinho off and has taken his back!

Pushkar is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kinho knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kinho for a finish.
Pushkar is trying to stick to Kinho's back but Kinho is turning into Pushkar. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Pushkar's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kinho.

Kinho is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Pushkar throws an overhand right that lands on Kinho's shoulder, as Kinho tries to avoid the shot.
Kinho closes the distance but Pushkar moves to the side
and Pushkar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kinho throws a hook but Pushkar avoids it easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pushkar can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pushkar has his foot on Kinho's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kinho works his way back into a safe position though.

Francis Pushkar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pushkar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
