PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Esten Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Molo Gigalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flores comes into the arena with not afraid blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Esten Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Molo Gigalo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores dives in and grabs Gigalo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gigalo pushes down on Flores's head and hops out.

Gigalo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gigalo lands a couple of elbows.
Flores has momentary wrist control but Gigalo slips an elbow through the middle.
Gigalo is pushing down on Flores's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flores is fighting to maintain full guard but Gigalo has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gigalo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gigalo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gigalo not doing much here.
Gigalo is nestled in close to Flores, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Flores punching from the bottom.
Flores on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gigalo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Flores wants to control but Gigalo is keeping busy.
Gigalo is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Gigalo moves into full mount! Flores won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gigalo avoids the attempt from Flores to control.
Gigalo landing punches.
Gigalo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

It looks like Esten Flores has been cut.

Esten Flores's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Gigalo is landing with some decent strikes but Flores is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Flores is bucking up trying to escape but Gigalo cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Jeez, Esten Flores's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Esten Flores's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Molo Gigalo!
A relieved looking Molo Gigalo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
