Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, KJ Blues!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shaun Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blues shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Blues controlling the pace for now.

Blues stands up from mount. Strange move.
Blues tries a low kick but Kerr avoids it.

Kerr gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blues to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kerr wants to get back to his feet but Blues is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kerr keeping moving, preventing Blues from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Blues decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Blues fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kerr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kerr dodges the punch combination from Blues.

Blues looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Blues pushes down on Kerr's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Blues seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blues missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Blues looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Blues stalling.
Blues lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kerr wants to control but Blues is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Blues is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blues winds up and cracks Kerr with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Blues is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kerr is just riding it out for now. Blues eventually gives up the hold.
Blues content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Blues passes into side control, despite Kerr's attempt to control the position.
Kerr seems a little lost for a moment, as Blues dominates the positioning.

Blues working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
A lull in the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

KJ Blues dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Blues closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kerr quickly recovers to half guard.
Blues tries to pass to full mount but Kerr defends it.
Blues winds up and cracks Kerr with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Blues in particular looking to stall.
Blues tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kerr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Blues perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Blues moves into full mount! Kerr won't be happy about that!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerr tries to lock up and control but Blues gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Blues controlling the pace for now.
Blues raining down shots from the mount!
Kerr is trying to stand but he's just given Blues his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Blues tightening his grip on Kerr, looking for the choke.

Blues looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Kerr taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). KJ Blues!
