Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yvel shoots in and drives through. Willis sprawls well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Willis.
Willis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Willis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yvel as he jumps to the side.
Willis fails with the takedown.

and Yvel counters with a three punch combo that has Willis backing up. Willis nods at Yvel to acknowledge the strikes.

Willis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yvel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Willis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yvel but Yvel pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Willis throws a low kick, looking for Yvel's leg but Yvel calmly moves out of range.

Yvel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Willis circles away quickly and effectively.

and Yvel counters with a thumping low kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Yvel, right into the meat.

Willis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Yvel is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Willis is controlling him well.

Yvel takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Willis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Yvel is looking for a sweep.
Yvel wants to get back to his feet but Willis drags him back down.
Yvel prevents Willis from improving position.
Willis tries to score with some ground and pound. Yvel controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Yvel is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Willis wants to take a breather but Yvel is having none of it.

Yvel pushes Willis off looking to stand but Willis dives back in and keeps control.
Yvel keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Willis is nestled in close to Yvel, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Yvel is trying to maintain the position but Willis is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Yvel wants to get back to his feet.
Willis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yvel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Willis moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Yvel goes down! Can Willis finish him!?

Yvel is rocked!

It looks like Ruben Yvel has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yvel wants to stand up but Willis is controlling him.
Willis trying to control the position from guard on top but Yvel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yvel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yvel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Willis is one step ahead there.
Yvel has momentary wrist control but Willis slips an elbow through the middle.

Patrick Willis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Willis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That has opened up Ruben Yvel's cut even more.
Yvel is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Willis scores with a couple of nice shots.
Yvel is still in real trouble! Can Willis finish him?

The cut above Ruben Yvel's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Yvel is looking for a sweep. Willis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Yvel seems to have recovered his senses.
Willis is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Ruben Yvel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ruben Yvel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
