The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manuawillie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Manuawillie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diaz.
Manuawillie cracks Diaz with a right hand to the side of the head.
Manuawillie fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Manuawillie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Diaz's head backwards.
Manuawillie stuns Diaz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Diaz misses with a wild combination.
Manuawillie delivers a nice body kick.
Diaz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Willie Manuawillie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Manuawillie moves into range and clinches up with Diaz.

Manuawillie has Diaz pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Diaz is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Manuawillie - that's hurt Diaz badly! Oh, another knee lands and Diaz is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Diaz doesn't seem to be complaining.
