The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamada tries to bum rush Xylar with a series of wild strikes but Xylar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Xylar looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Yamada shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Yamada keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Yamada passes to full mount!
Yamada throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Xylar has his hands clasped together but Yamada breaks the hold and Xylar is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Yamada!

Kenji Yamada decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
