Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boris Britva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Slyvia!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Britva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slyvia.
Slyvia takes a swing at Britva's ribcage but misses.
A punch combination from Slyvia misses.
Slyvia moves in looking to clinch but Britva pushes him off.
Slyvia closes the distance but Britva moves to the side
and Britva counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Slyvia lands with a hook. Britva tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Slyvia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tim Slyvia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Britva misses with a looping left.
Slyvia lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Britva circles away quickly and effectively.
Slyvia tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Britva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Slyvia checks a leg kick.
Slyvia lands with a straight right. Britva didn't see that one coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice uppercut there from Slyvia.
Britva is breathing heavily.
A big right from Britva misses.
Slyvia throws a series of punches but Britva moves out of range.
Slyvia feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Britvas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Britva stalks Slyvia and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Slyvia's face. Slyvia staggers backwards, shaken.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slyvia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A combination from Britva does no damage.
Sloppy strikes from Slyvia. Those never looked like landing.

Slyvia fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Britva, pushing him back against the cage.
Britva working hard to break the clinch.
Britva prevents Slyvia from breaking the clinch.
Slyvia is trying to break the clinch but Britva is controlling him.
Slyvia has Britva pressed against the cage, preventing Britva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Slyvia wants to get back to striking at distance but Britva won't allow it.
Slyvia looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Britva is trying to break free.

Slyvia manages to break the clinch.
Slyvia doesn't manage to clinch there - Britva circles away.
Britva slips a jab and a cross from Slyvia.
Slyvia is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slyvia wants to clinch up but Britva keeps it at a distance.
Slyvia pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Britva back to the cage. Slyvia follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slyvia cracks Britva with an uppercut from hell and Britva crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Slyvia's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Britva is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Oh Britva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Slyvia advances position into side control!
Slyvia is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Slyvia is working to tighten is grip on Britva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Britva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Slyvia is really squeezing tight and eventually Britva passes out! Slyvia breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Tim Slyvia!
Tim Slyvia seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
