Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Sorrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rockem Sockem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sorrow comes to the cage accompanied by Harvester of Sorrow. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Sorrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rockem Sockem!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Sockem lands but Sorrow takes it in his stride.
Sorrow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sorrow fails with the takedown
and Sockem counters with a straight right hand.
Sorrow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sockem manages to avoid it.
Sorrow tries to clinch there but Sockem circles away.
Sorrow throws a jab when Sockem was well out of range.
Sockem wants to clinch up but Sorrow keeps it at a distance.
Sockem swinging wildly here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sockem is defended easily by Sorrow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sockem walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Sorrow pushes Sockem up against the cage in a clinch.
Sorrow's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Sorrow is trying to drag Sockem to the mat but Sockem just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sockem is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sockem goes for a takedown attempt but Sorrow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sockem misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sockem moves into range and connects with a jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sorrow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sockem pinned against the cage. Sockem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Sorrow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sorrow throws a looping overhand right but Sockem ducks down to avoid it.

Sockem tries to clinch but Sorrow moves away

and Sorrow counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sorrow.

Sorrow breaks the clinch.
Sockem throws a combination that misses
letting Sorrow counter with a right hand.
Sorrow fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sorrow tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sockem manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sockem misses with a takedown attempt - Sorrow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sorrow connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sockem's hands.
Sorrow takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Sockem.
Sorrow tries to work over Sockem's front leg with a kick but Sockem checks it.
Sorrow fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sockem looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sorrow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sorrow throws a sloppy head kick and Sockem moves out of range easily.

Sockem bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sockem throws an elbow but Sorrow slips to the side and avoids it well.
Sorrow is looking for a sweep.
Sockem tries to stand but Sorrow is controlling his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rockem Sockem dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sorrow swings for the body but Sockem moves out of range.
Sockem circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sorrow lands a jab to the head.
Sockem lands a nice hook to Sorrow's body. Sorrow takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Sockem throws a right hand that misses

and Sorrow counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sorrow trying to control the position from guard on top but Sockem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sorrow pushes down on Sockem's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sorrow thows a huge punch but Sockem dodges it nicely.

Sorrow is working for a submission of some sort.
Sockem is trying to maintain the position but Sorrow is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sorrow in particular looking to stall.
Sockem is refusing to be controlled, as Sorrow sits in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sorrow wants to free his trapped foot but Sockem is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Sorrow is looking to take a break and control but Sockem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Johnny Sorrow just wasn't active enough.
Sockem shoots in and drives through. Sorrow sprawls well.
Sorrow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sockem counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sorrow wants to clinch up but Sockem keeps it at a distance.
Sockem displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sorrow throws out the jab.
Sorrow takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Sorrow doesn't manage to clinch there - Sockem circles away.
Sorrow is looking to clinch.
Sockem misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sorrow.
Sockem loads up on a big right hand but Sorrow slips the punch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sorrow shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sockem defends it nicely.
Sorrow tries to close the distance and clinch but Sockem swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sockem slaps away a takedown attempt from Sorrow, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Sorrow. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Sockem counters with a nice body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Good shot there by Sockem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sockem throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sorrow lands with a nice body punch.
Sockem shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sorrow as he avoids it easily.
Sorrow closes the distance and clinches up with Sockem, looking for a takedown. Sorrow pushes Sockem against the cage but Sockem circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sockem gets caught napping as Sorrow dives in and scores a takedown. Sockem manages to retain guard.
Sockem tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sorrow tries to free his leg and advance position but Sockem is retaining full guard.
Sorrow wants to control from the top but Sockem keeps moving.
Sorrow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sockem swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sorrow trying to control the position from guard on top but Sockem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johnny Sorrow has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sorrow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sorrow closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sockem's guard.
Sorrow controlling from the top position.

Sockem keeping moving, preventing Sorrow from controlling successfully.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sockem is looking to stand up but Sorrow isn't so interested in that idea.
Sorrow trying to control but Sockem is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Johnny Sorrow just wasn't active enough.
Sorrow takes a swing at Sockem's ribcage but misses.
Sockem throws a jab but it's blocked by Sorrow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sorrow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sockem paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sockem scores with a nice strike.
Sorrow circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sorrow just misses with a punch to the body.
Sockem will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sockem fails with a takedown attempt.

Sockem tries to clinch there but Sorrow circles away.
Sorrow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sockem paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sorrow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sockem pinned against the cage. Sockem gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sockem looks to throw the jab but Sorrow is out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Johnny Sorrow showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sorrow has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
