The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brown throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Paul Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brown.

Brown throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva misses with a takedown
and Brown counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Brown to acknowledge the strikes.
Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown thows a body shot but no joy.

Brown connects with a stiff jab that staggers Silva - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
