Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lionel Cascara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Maloshin!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maloshin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cascara has Maloshin up against the cage in a clinch.
Cascara tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Cascara creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Maloshin's defenses.
Cascara tightens his grip and picks Maloshin up, before dumping him to the ground. Maloshin manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Maloshin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Cascara content to stall in guard here.
Cascara pushes down on Maloshin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cascara wants to pass to mount but Maloshin is defending the position.
Cascara is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Maloshin has managed to free his arm - good work.
Cascara seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cascara not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Cascara sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Cascara is pressing down on Maloshin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Maloshin is holding on for now.
Cascara is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cascara is looking for a kimura but Maloshin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cascara to get the leverage.
Cascara is taking a breather. Maloshin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Maloshin wants to improve his position but Cascara is controlling well.

Cascara wants to free his trapped foot but Maloshin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cascara frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cascara sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cascara has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cascara is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Maloshin is forced to tap! Great finish!
