Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hayate Mizurugi Samuelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Samuelsson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cryin Like a Bitch - Godsmack. Hale has chosen There Will Be Violence as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Hayate Mizurugi Samuelsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Hale!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale tries to close the distance and clinch but Samuelsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Samuelsson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hale manages to work his way to half guard, despite Samuelsson's best efforts.
Samuelsson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hale does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Samuelsson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Samuelsson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hale swivels and escapes.

Samuelsson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hale was covering up waiting for the punch and Samuelsson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Hayate Mizurugi Samuelsson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Samuelsson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hale moves away.

Samuelsson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

It looks like Justin Hale has been cut.

Samuelsson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hale is surviving well by controlling Samuelsson's body position as best he can.
Samuelsson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hale looks a forlorn figure.

Hale seems to have recovered his senses.

That has opened up Justin Hale's cut even more.
Samuelsson avoids the attempt from Hale to control.
Hale takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Samuelsson's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
