PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luan Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Tupper Vi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nguyen has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tupper Vi rushes Nguyen and presses him up against the cage.

Luan Nguyen's cut is getting worse.
Nguyen is breathing heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Tupper Vi stands and steps away. Nguyen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tupper Vi tries to close the distance and clinch but Nguyen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Tupper Vi lands with a kick to the temple. Nguyen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Tupper Vi moves into range and clinches up with Nguyen.

Tupper Vi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Nguyen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tupper Vi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nguyen's guard.

Tupper Vi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
