Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Nohara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago Alves will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves misses with a takedown attempt
and Nohara counters with a thumping low kick.
Alves closes the distance but Nohara moves to the side
and Nohara counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Alves bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nohara's guard.
Nohara is working an open guard so Alves takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nohara fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Alves checks it well.

Nohara is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Alves can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nohara cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Alves uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nohara.
Nohara leaves Alves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Alves counters with a three punch combo that has Nohara backing up. Nohara nods at Alves to acknowledge the strikes.

and Nohara counters with a low kick, right behind Alves 's knee.

and Alves counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nohara throws a leg kick that misses.

and Nohara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nohara throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nohara shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Alves is breathing heavily.

Alves won't allow Nohara to pass to mount.
Nohara wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alves keeps working.

Alves is not content to let Nohara control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hiro Nohara.
Nohara thows a body shot but no joy.
Alves checks the leg kick nicely there.

Nohara lands a big elbow - Alves is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Nohara!
