Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pumola Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kichiro Kaneko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pumola Chang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pumola Chang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kichiro Kaneko!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chang looks for a takedown but Kaneko sprawls well.
Kaneko keeps Chang at a distance using the push kick.
Kaneko lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kichiro Kaneko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chang loads up on a big right hand but Kaneko slips the punch.
Kaneko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Chang shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaneko but Kaneko pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Chang drops his hands momentarily and Kaneko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Chang tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kaneko was well out of range. Poor timing from Chang.
Chang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kaneko tries to avoid it but Chang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kaneko to the ground. Kaneko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pumola Chang. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kaneko enables Chang to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kaneko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
